Do The Thing: What type of bike should you buy?
Welcome to 2022! Have you set a resolution for this year? If so, I’m going to guess your goal is something related to health. Don’t get excited, I had a 50/50 chance of getting it right.
Statista’s Global Consumer Survey says that about 40% of you will make a resolution this year. And of those, four out of 10 people say they want to eat healthier and lose weight.
The best way to lose weight is to kick old habits to the curb and form some new, healthy ones. Mika and I have a suggestion… RIDE A BIKE!
Both Mika and I plan to spend more time on bikes this year. In fact, he got a new-to-him bike that he describes in the episode. He’s using the bike below to help him get ready to race in Rouge Roubaix, an annual bike race held in West Feliciana
The bulk of this episode is devoted to those of you who do not have a bike yet, or are looking to get a new one. When people are ready to buy a bike, there are a few things you should know, or else you might end up getting a BSO.
If you’re listening to this podcast, you probably already have a bike. But that’s why you’re going to need to share this fantastic information with friends!
Also in this episode, we explain the different ways one can buy a bike. Is going to a bike shop the best answer? I’ll give you a hint… yes, the answer is yes. But why? Essentially it boils down to the old saying, “you get what you pay for.”
We also talk money and provide a range for the cost of each type of bike. Keep in mind that prices could be higher than normal right now due to the unusually high demand created during the pandemic. Bikes were completely out of stock for a long time. People were buying them up left and right.
If you were one of those who bought a bike with the intention of using it more during the pandemic, then it’s time to make good and get your butt on a bike and go for a ride!
YEAH BIKE!
